  • What is Academic transcripts?
  • A transcript is an official summary of your academic performance and progress to date. It will only include final marks confirmed by the appropriate Examination Board. A transcript may be required by prospective employers or educational institutions or for immigration purpose to which you are applying.

  • What Is a Transcript of Records and When Do Students Need One?
  • When you’re preparing for a study experience abroad, whether as an exchange student for a semester or two, or for completing a full Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, you need to go through an extensive ‘paperwork’ process. The transcript of records is one of those important documents you’ll have to take care of and make sure the information is properly filled in. The transcript of records, also known as academic records.

  • What is Transcript of Records (ToR) consists of?
    • Transcript of Records (ToR) consists of basically list of the course units taken, the exams you have passed and the credits gained.
    • In the Transcript of Records, you can usually see:
    • the course unit code (basically the code the host university gives to a specific academic course)
    • the title of the courses you have attended at your host university
    • the duration of the course (if one semester or two)
    • the local grade (your exam mark, which is very important in order to get your credits)
    • the credits you have gained by passing the exam
    • the transcript of records should include an explanation of the credit and grading systems used.
    • Depending on the rules set by each university, your academic records can be filled by yourself or the home and/or host university, usually the International Office.
    • ToR is being filled once you have passed all your exams included in the Learning Agreement, and, usually, the failed courses won’t be listed, just the ones you passed.

  • How do I start using etranscript services?
  • You simply need to complete the booking details with your contact and information. We’ll then assign you with a login for a private online client area where you can upload your sound files and supporting documentation. Alternatively, you can email us etranscripts.in@gmail.com. From there, we will let you know when you will receive your final transcript and pass it to an experienced team. When your document is complete, it is delivered to your nominated medium.

  • How does etranscrits.in ensures confidentiality and security?
  • All clients have access to our secure, encrypted online portal when uploading their files. All files are then scrambled as they are transmitted across the Internet for extra precaution. We maintain firewalls and use a high level of encryption for added security when clients upload material. All files and transcripts are deleted from our systems once task is complete.

  • After reciving documents what should I check?
    • Once you got your Transcript of Records, double check and see if all the required fields are completed, especially:
    • “Date”
    • “Signature of the administration officer”
    • “Stamp of the Institution”
    • “It should be sealed by respective University”
  • If Institute is not present on the website, where should I raise my concern?
    • Send an email contact@etranscripts.in provide some information like Your college and university name, year of graduation, branch and any other relevant information.
    • We'll try to establish a process with your institute to get your transcripts for you.
  • Why do we ask for clear documents?
  • Source and recipient institutions have strict document requirements to issue transcripts. Applicants often send us documents which are either photos, blurred unreadable copies of the original, truncated documents with one of the edges and/or content missing, the scanned document is too small as compared with the original. University Seal is truncated or missing. Dark/light/shiny patches and shadow on the documents. Any of the above documents are not fit to issue transcripts and often leads to rejection and thus wastage of your valuable time and money. To avoid this, we request you to send clear scan copies of the documents.

  • Guidelines for scanned documents requirement.
    • All documents should be clear and legible.
    • All sides and edges should be properly captured without any cuts or missing borders.
    • We advise to use professional scanners only and avoid camera/phone clicks.
  • How to scan oversized documents?
  • Often degree certificate and university-issued mark-sheets for some institutes are oversized and don’t fit our normal home scanners. We advise you to take them to a business centre like FedEx/UPS stores or use a commercial scanner with document reducers. Take clear copies of the documents and send them to us.

  • Do we ship internationally?
  • Yes, we do! Just enter you recipient address in the “New Recipient Address” on the apply page and we will ship it to that address.

  • Do we ship to multiple addresses?
  • Yes, we do! You may add as many recipient addresses in the “New Recipient Address” on the apply page as you want. Just specify the number of sets you want us to ship at each location and we will ship it to that address.

  • Do we ship to WES?
  • Yes, we ship to WES. Just enter WES address in the “New Recipient Address” on the apply page and specify the WES reference# in the Instructions section.

  • Combine Shipping?
  • If you have multiple orders that need to be shipped to WES or any international address, drop us an email at contact@etranscripts.in and we will help you combine shipping for them, so you pay for shipping only once for the same address subject to University or Institution conditions.

  • My recipient country is not in the “New Recipient Address”.
  • No worries, just drop us an email at contact@etranscripts.in with details of your recipient address and we will make it available in our list of countries.

  • How many sets should I order?
  • We advise everyone to order an at-least 1-2 extra copy for back-up. You may get these shipped to your home address in India, using our free shipping to 1 Indian address.

  • Where should I get my transcripts shipped?
  • If you are entering international recipient address, we will advise you to ship it to the institutes like WES/ university directly, to avoid package being rendered useless, if inspected by customs. And hence wasting your valuable time and money.

  • How to ship my transcripts to WES, on my own.
  • Most of the universities, don't include degree certificate in the sealed envelope containing transcripts. So when sending the transcripts to WES, please include a xerox copy of the degree-certificate in the package that you send to WES. Also, don't forget to write the WES reference number on the envelope.

  • My college is closed now, but the university is was affiliated to is there. Who will issue me the transcripts?
  • Transcripts will be issued by the university your college was affiliated to.

  • WES Academic request form
  • This is an optional form, not needed by WES. You need the WES ref # mentioned on this form and make sure to mention that on your package to WES.

  • My etranscripts Application Status is "Under Review", what does this mean?
  • Our Support group takes 2 working days to review your application and prepare the application package to be submitted to the university. University might take 3-7 working days to review, validate your documents and give us an expected date when your application will be ready.
